Despite the slow start -- and earning manager Ron Gardenhire's ire for his lack of hustle Wednesday -- the team expects Hicks to get going, and will keep him in the leadoff spot to help him along.

    content_img

Super Bowl Sunday came and went with the securing their first championship in 50 years with a 31-20 win over the . But the Chiefs weren't the only winner. Companies always shell out the big bucks for .

Here's our ranking of the top 10 commercials that made it to the airwaves on Sunday evening.

    1. Hyundai - Smaht Pahk

This was a no-brainer for the top commercial of the night. Native New Englanders Chris Evans, John Krasinski and Rachelhas ambitions beyond Manchester City. The midfielder is currently on-loan in Belgium with Mouscron. He told Het Nieuwsblad: “You will never forget matches against Barcelona or Real Madrid. As a Catalan, winning with Girona in a packed Bernabeu was pe Dratch went over the top with their Boston accents as they were discussing Hyundai's new park assist feature. On top of all that star power, former Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz even made a cameo, in which he categorized the Sonata's feature as "wicked smart."

    2. Rocket Mortgage - Jason Momoa

Jason Momoa quickly began trending with this Rocket Mortgage commercial shortly after it aired. In fact, it became a meme that some compared to the 49ers' third and fourth quarter performances with the final quarter being represented by the image of Momoa being bald. The "Aquaman" star definitely gave one of the bigger laughs of the night.

    3. Jeep - 'Groundhog Day'

Bill Murray starred in the 1993 film "Groundhog Day" that was based on a man that lived the same day over and over again. Jeep decided to use the same theme for their Super Bowl commercial, except with Murray driving around a new Jeep at his disposal. The clip also featured several similar scenes to what occurred in the film.

    4. Google - Loretta

Regardless of how rugged of a fan you may have been, this commercial could bring a tear to your eye. Google put together a commercial that showed an elderly man using the Google virtual assistant to remember things about his late wife following her passing. It truly tugs at your heartstrings.

    5. Doritos - The Cool Ranch Long Form

One of the biggest stars from 2019 in the music world was Lil Nas X. In this hilarious Doritos spot, Lil Nas X is dressed up as a cowboy and participates in a dance-off against "The Ranch" star Sam Elliott. Elliott busts some CGI dance moves and eventually tips his hat to Lil Nas X towards the end. It gets even better with a cameo from Billy Ray Cyrus at the end.

    6. Hulu -

quarterback Tom Brady sent fans into a tailspin days before Super Bowl LIV when he . Fans thought it could've signaled his decision to retire or continue to play in the . In this Hulu spot, Brady made it appear as though he was announcing his retirement, but actually just explained the benefits of the television streaming service.

    7. Kia -

Leading up to the 2019 , the story of running back Josh Jacobs was talked about a lot. He was homeless at times in his life and went through a lot to make it to the professional ranks. In this Kia commercial, Jacobs has some advice for his younger self in a message of never giving up and proving what you can do on the football field. This was definitely another one that tugs at the heartstrings.

    8. Mountain Dew - Bryan Cranston

Since "Breaking" Bad became a cultural phenomenon, Bryan Cranston has been a fan favorite. In this commercial for Mountain Dew's "Zero Sugar" flavor, Cranston plays the part of Jack Torrance from "The Shining" and is attempting to get to Tracee Ellis Ross through the bathroom door. He uses an ax just like the film to get to her and hands her a Mountain Dew. The commercial ends with the green Mountain Dew flowing from the elevators in a very hilarious callback to the 1980 film.

    9. Bud Light - Inside Post Malone's Brain

Post Malone has blossomed into one of music's biggest stars over the past few years. It's also been no secret that Post Malone enjoys drinking Bud Light, so there was no better match for an advertisement for Bud Light's new Seltzer line. The commercial shows an operating system controlling Post and he ultimately decides to purd for Girona strike Po has not been the subject of any formal offers - yet.The 25-year-old is a target for the likes of Aston Villa and Brighton, according to the Lancashire Telegraph.Dack managed 18 goals last season, 15 of them in the Championship for Blackburn. While a rtu.Cristian Portugués Manzanera, better known as Portu, is one of Celta's top summer targets and they're keen to do a deal as soon as possible.Celta directors have met with the player's agent, Fede Marco, to try to convince hichase both regular Bud Light and Bud Light Seltzer after knocking over almost every snack in the store. His closing line of "got any pretzels?" is also pretty hilarious.

    10. Planters - Baby Nut

This was one of the most peculiar commercials of the evening. Planters had originally planned to kill off Mr. Peanut, but ended up not fully going through with the plan following the . In Sunday's spot, Mr. Clean, Kool Aid Man, and others were attending Mr. Peanut's funeral when tears from Kool Aid Man sprouted a baby Mr. Peanut. With the success of Baby Yoda in recent months, perhaps that's what Planters was going for. It was a little strange with the dolphin noises, but it certainly got people talking.

  • Cowboys’ Jerry Jones has strong comments for coaches after loss to Patriots: ‘I shouldn’t be this frustrated’

    content_img

Things are taking on an ominous tone within the organization after the team fell to 6-5 on the year due to their failure to muster more than nine points against the . It wasn't so much the issue of the former being dominated by the latter, but it was yet another game .

The Patriots had to scratch and claw for 13 points themselves in a game headlined by inclement weather, but what they didn't do was succumb to myriad penalties and special teams mistakes. To make matters worse for the Cowboys, head coach Jason Garrett will be forever questioned about his decision to kick a field goal in the waning minutes of the game when the team was in position to take a shot at a needed touchdown that would've given Dallas a chance to tie the score. Instead, on fourth-and \-short, it was pushing the score to 13-9, and the Patriots clamped down from there.

It was all owner Jerry Jones could take, voicing an unusually scathing level of frustration about what he witnessed at Gillette Stadium -- aiming the most fluorescent bullseye at his special teams unit.

"Special teams is a total reflection of coaching," Jones said, via . "To me, special teams is 100 percent coaching. It's 100 percent coaching. It's strategy.

"It's having players ready. ... Special teams is nothing but coaching. Special teams is effort. Special teams is savvy. Special teams is thinking."

    Message.

Week 12 is almost in the books and there's a lot to go over. Fortunately Will Brinson, John Breech, Ryan Wilson and Sean Wagner-McGough are here to break everything down on the Pick Six Podcast. Listen below and be sure to  for daily  goodness fired into your eardrums.

The unit has been an Achilles heel of the Cowboys all season, and their performance in New England was easily the worst of an already disappointing year. The unit had two muffed punts (both recovered by Dallas), a missed field goal, and a blockeding on the responsibility of being England's leader and star player. The Totteph Hasenhuttl says Southampton supporters understand the club's philosophy. The Austrian admits Saints have their limits, but they will continue to develop young players and be competitive in the Premier League.Asked about the expectations he feels atnham striker has the task of picking up his teammates after Friday's shock loss to Czech Republic in Euro2020 qualifying.Accepting the pressure is definitely on, he said: "I punt that led to the Patriots' only touchdown on the day.

Things aren't progressing at all on special teams, but are instead clearly regressing, and Jones' comments should be viewed just as a very real message to Garrett; it should also be felt in the heart of special teams coordinator Keith O'Quinn. That doesn't mean Garrett shouldn't and won't receive heat as well, because he's also responsible for overseeing special teams, and then there's the aforementioned late-game field goal decision -- partnered with the team's offense opting to get away from an effective rushing attack led by what could've been an impactful day by and rookie .

Be it O'Quinn, Garrett and/or offensive coordinator , it was a game that saw the Cowboys coaching staff let thempool boss Jurgen Klopp insists they won't be at full strength for the Community Shield against Manchester City. While Mohamed Salah and Brazilian duo Alisson and Roberto Firmino - who won the Copa America with Brazil - could get a few minutes in a fri down as equally as some of the players on the field did.

"This is very frustrating," . "It's frustrating just to be reminded that some of the fundamentals of football and coaching were what beat us out there today. ... With the makeup of this team, I shouldn't be this frustrated."

The only question now is, what is he going to do about it?

The easy answer is to send O'Quinn packing, and that might actually occur soon for a couple of reasons. The first being Jones' now verbal frustration in front of cameras, which is wholly justifiable, and the other being tied to the seat beneath Jason Garrett, who now knows he might not have a choice but to start sacrificing assistants in order to save his own hide in 2019 and/or beyond.

Time is running out for Garrett, and Jones is approaching rare levels of anger, which often ends badly for those beneath him.

  • Jerry Jones says he has received no notice from owners, calls ousting ‘ridiculous’

Jerry Jones has refuted the New York Times report from the six NFL owners on the compensation committee in response to  theame against Crystal Palace.Fans were concerned about the availability of the Egyptian winger, given he missed time during the international break. But Salah is back in training and could be available for the game against Palace, either off the bench o league and the owners on the committee.

The range of punishments, according to the Times, includes fines, docking draft picks and even suspending Jones, who has owned the since 1989.

"I've had discussions with the committee chairman, but rhow he plans to get Dele Alli back on song.Mourinho has already worked very closely with Alli to get the best out of the England star. And speaking ahead of his first game in charge of Tottenham against West Ham on Saturday at the London Stadium, Moureceived no 'notices'," Jones said during his weekly appearance on . "I speak to a lot of owners, a lot of owners, and I know them to be really supportive of the idea of being able to, on their part, see what and guide and give input to the committee, in particular the chairman, and I have well over half this league that is very interested, not only being a part of what is negotiated, but having it come back to them for approval."

The impetus for all this? Jones is at odds with commissioner Roger Goodell, the man behind  six-game suspension, and Jones is reportedly trying to keep Goodell's contract extension from going through. Jones, who was a non-voting member of the compensation committee, was kicked out immediately after he threatened to sue, reports the Times.

"Roger [Goodell] has almost 18 months left [on his contract]," Jones explained. "We've got all the time in the world to evaluate what we're doCity manager Daniel Farke admits that his side are going down unless they improve quickly. He was disappointed at how they capitulated in a 3-0 defeat to Wolves at the weekend in the Premier League. The Canaries are bottom of the table and seven pointsing, and all the time in the world to extend him. We just need to slow this train down and discuss the issues at hand in the NFL."

Meanwhile,  owner Arthur Blank, the compensation committee's chairman, doesn't appear to be taking Jones' advice. Blank issued this statement on Monday:

"The committee is continuing its work towards finalizing a contract extension with the commissioner," he said. "The negotiations are progressing and we will keep ownership apprised of the negotiations as they move forward. We do not intend to publicly comment on our discussions."

The Times report meshes with what CBS Sports  Insider Jason La Canfora reported on Sunday:  because, according to sources, "his attacks on commissioner Roger Goodell are being seen by his peers as a direct reaction to his anger of  six-game suspension and are diminishing his respect and influence among other owners."

In addition to the cease-and-desist warning, some owners are  -- the long-shot possibility of making Jones forfeit his ownership in the Cowboys.

    Jones addressed that too.

"I've had not one inkling of communication with the league office or any owner that would suggest something that laughable and ridiculous," he said.

    Fantasy impact

The Packers tra Alfaro.Alfaro is a former Barca player and also an ex-teammate of new Blaugrana coach Quique Setien. He told Mundo Deportivo: "Yes, we were teammates for three years (at Racing Santander) and I really appreciate him. Surely we will have some time to ded up with the Seahawks to select Alexander, and he fills a huge need at cornerback. Given his position, and he could start or be the No. 3 cornerback along with Tramon Williams and Kevin King, he has minimal Fantasy value in re-draft IDP leagues. In rookie-only dynasty leagues with IDP options, Alexander is only worth drafting with a late-round flier. Alexander does make the Packers DST better.
